(a) Concave mirror:

Case 1: when object is at infinity.

(b) Convex mirror:

Case 1: When object is at infinity.

Case 2: When object is between infinity and pole.

When object is moved away from the mirror, images will be gradually diminished in size and shift towards focus but never goes beyond focus.
